The rules that apply here
Mass. S.J.C. Rule 3:07, Rule 7.2(b)(2) permits paying only a not-for-profit lawyer referral service or qualified legal assistance organization. Massachusetts has not adopted the 2018 ABA amendment allowing for-profit qualified referral services.
